Excessive drinking is a growing societal challenge, with only 2% of the 51 million US problem drinkers treated. Existing options are high-cost, focused on end-stage addiction. Traditional 12-step programs are typically limited in that they are spirituality-oriented paths and community solutions originally designed for a single segment of the population.
Tempest is an evidence-based, online recovery program that helps you change your relationship with alcohol by holistically addressing the root causes of addiction. It’s clinically-validated, trauma-informed, and personalized to individual user needs. Tempest is built for consumers largely ignored by the recovery landscape (women, POC, LGBTQIA+, and those with less-severe drinking problems).
At Tempest, I took us through initial site launch, conversion to a subscription model, creation of a CMS tool, multiple brand redesigns, the creation, maintenance, and evolution of our design system, multiple versions of iterations on our initial product, a mobile beta test, and the (soon to be) launch of our mobile app.
Tools used: Figma, Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, JIRA, Shortcut, GA4, Mode, Dovetail, Typeform
